		This is the site, the Althing (Thingvellir), were chieftains gathered together from around Iceland once a year to conduct parlimentary sessions. Established in 930 AD, it is the oldest parliament in the world. What a magical landscape. Rugged and lush, cold with hot springs boing at the surface. It's not hard to see why they considered shooting the new Lord of the Rings here.



		And, of course, it is the land of the Geysirs.
